This stone cottage is a cosy and charming weekend home that makes it hard to believe that you’re in India. The architecture and design of the house is the highlight and it is a must visit for those who love beautiful design, aesthetics and nature.

Made with natural stone and reclaimed wood quite like what it is supposed to be for a house in the hills, the high roofs, wooden floors, huge glass windows and the views will leave you absolutely in love and charmed by this amazing place!

The space:

The space is in the ‘Lake District’ of Uttrakhand. LBV is just 100 meters to the Naukuchiatal Lake. Tucked away in the midst of a forest and near an eco-resort.

The decor of the house is lovely and makes you want to call this place home forever!

The cottage consists of 3 bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms, 2 lofts, a cozy kitchen and small front lawn. There is one bedroom on the ground floor next to the kitchen and two bedrooms on the first floor. Both bedrooms on the first floor have attached lofts.

The windows in the rooms and the loft offer stunning views of the surrounding mountains, the interiors and decor is warm and cozy and all these elements combine to make this cottage an ideal weekend getaway to relax and unwind.

The house is also close to markets, hospitals, restaurants and other recreational activities like boating, paragliding, treking, nature walks etc.

It’s like a hub from where one can travel to exotic places like Ranikhet, Binsar, Mukteshwar, Ramgarh, Almora. A minimum of 2 families (2 adults, 2 kids) can easily fit in to 2 suites.

Food:

The house has a well-equipped kitchen with cooking items where guests are encouraged to bring out their inner chef! However, those who aren’t willing to cook can order from the menu until 10:30 PM.

They also have a BBQ Grill. Guests can request the owner or the manager to arrange a barbeque session for them! The balcony holds a spectacular view of the valley in addition to the well-maintained garden!

Guest access:

All guest will be able access the entire house and its facilities such as telephone, internet, kitchen, garden, refrigerator, heater etc. The guest’s can also order from a basic menu incase they don’t wish to cook themselves.

The kitchen will close by 10:30 pm. On request it may be extended by an hour only. Their cook cum caretaker needs to come in early to prepare the kitchen for breakfast and other meals.

Other things to note:

Important to carry your own wine and cheese. It is either difficult to find or more expensive. Beer and beverages are available in the vicinity but might cost more than in the city.
