Diphlu River Lodge is the only lodge at Kaziranga National Park that is situated right at the border of the park. Perched on the periphery of Kaziranga National Park, Diphlu River Lodge is the ideal getaway for a never-before intimacy with the natural world.
They offer all-inclusive stays. Their well-trained naturalists take you out into the park by jeep, elephant or even on foot.
They also offer jungle and river walks, village visits and boat rides on the Brahmaputra river where you may also get to view the rare Gangetic River Dolphin. With only twelve twin-bedded cottages, eight of which are individual and four semi-detached, Diphlu River Lodge is intimate in size and built using natural materials (like bamboo, thatch, etc.). Each cottage comes with a pleasant sit-out for guests to enjoy.
Rooms:
Diphlu River Lodge has 12 cottages, accommodating up to 24 guests at a time, ensuring an exclusive and serene experience. Cottages are raised on stilts, and made of natural materials like bamboo and wood, topped with thatched roofs to blend in with the forest surroundings.
Out of the 12 cottages, four of them are river-facing and the rest are paddy-facing.
All cottages are nearly the same size and have more or less the same interiors, except for minor stylistic differences.

Food:
Great homely meals are served at The Machan with Indian, continental, Italian and local northeast cuisine. Food is simply outstanding.
Raised along and above the river is the charming common area called ‘Machan’, which means ‘jungle platform’.
This is an air-conditioned sitting and dining area, which opens onto two verandahs. The larger verandah, with a high thatched ceiling, wooden flooring and well-equipped bar, overlooks the Diphlu River and the national park.
This is the perfect place to watch for birds or to scan the opposite bank for wild animals. The smaller verandah overlooks lovingly tended farmland and is an appealing location for al fresco breakfasts.
Embellished with fascinating handicrafts and artefacts, the Machan is where the day’s jungle stories are swapped between guests over drinks or delicious meals. Feel free to browse through television channels in the television room or to sink into luxuriant sofas with a book from the library.
The Machan is connected to the cottages by grassy paths and bamboo walkways over our private farm.
