What for many would sound like a fabulous, other-worldly fantasy is the way and reality of life at The Bamboo Forest Safari Lodge (BFSL) at the Tadoba-Andhari Tiger Reserve (TATR) near Chandarpur, Maharashtra.

BSFL is ideally located on the edge of the scenic Maasal Lake (a heaven for bird watchers) on Kolara Road – 90 minutes’ drive from Nagpur and a mere 10 minute drive from Kolara Gate of TATR.

Villas and Chalet – These are standalone single room structures which will blow you away. The Bedroom is huge with a large 4 poster bed, an entire seating area with 2 sofas, a writing table, a large table. There is a large private balcony which the room looks out onto with seating for 2-3 overlooking the forest.

Bungalows – They are similar to the Villas except there are 2 bedrooms along with a common living space and balcony which is great if you are a large group. It had a gazebo on the top of the room, which provides a panoramic birds-eye view of the surrounding areas, great to watch the sunset from here.

All rooms are large with all the amenities and kept absolutely clean and immaculate throughout the day. The bathrooms are also huge with a concept of open air shower and hot tub.

The rooms are nicely done with lots of natural wood, stone, decorations that evoke the feel of the safari experience, antique style furniture in luxury.

Machan – the restaurant serves delicious food and is delivered to the highest standards. They offer a multi cuisine menu. The Chef and staff will try their level best to cater to all your requests and make sure to satisfy your palate.

Machan also offers the option of ‘On the deck’ lake side dining to provide you with an ultimate experience of fine dining in lap of nature.

Special food requests will be attended to without any second thought.

The breakfast during the morning safari, according to one’s individual preference is a noteworthy luxury in the forest.

In addition to the regular multi-course meals, there is always snack time after a safari with unlimited fresh baked cookies and cake, onion pakora, etc.
